Bad night

Have you ever had one of "those" nights? I had one last night. I was supposed to bring a veggie tray to a baby shower. I planned on being at the shower, but T.J. had a basketball game at the church and my kids were still a little sick and asleep on the couch. So, I took my gift and my beautiful veggie tray to the home of the shower. On the way there, I don't know what happened, but my veggie tray took a dive. This is what was left of it. The rest of the ranch dressing is all over the floor of T.J.'s car. I couldn't help but cry over my spilt veggies and ranch dressing.

That happened to me in Alabama. I was in charge of Enrichment night, but van broke down. I was running late so my neighbor let me borrow hers. I had a GIANT pot of melted chocolate for fondu that spilled. I was mortified! I feel your pain.

I hate those days when all you can do is cry or laugh (while crying) because it is what it is...I had one of those yesterday morning when my shopping trip to Wal-mart was filled with diapers, pull-ups, toilet paper, and Tide...$100 on necessities that just are not fun!!! So I picked up some Martinelli's for V-day. Just a little fun thing, a girl has to have something. Well it fell out of my cart and shattered all over the floor with a HUGE crash and sprayed my shoes and pants. Just to illistrate about 4 worker helpers came running so you know it was loud...I had nothing to say but sorry as I stood there with my cart...so to make it up to myself I bought strawberries, white chocolate and Oreos. Yep you guessed it white chocolate dipped strawberries rolled in crushed Oreos for v-day. Paul will like my little miss-hap. I am right there with you!!!

Oh my gosh, and after that whole carrot fiasco! At least you tried. I didn't get home from the gym until 7:30 and then Rob left straight for the game. Sounds like we both had a "fun" night.

How could I not leave a comment! I zoomed into the picture and there are many things I appreciate about it. 1st is the Nicholas Sparks book (Gotta love him)- Surely that made your night better. 2nd is the site word practice sheet obviously from Tyler (your little one is getting so big like mine!!) and 3rd the veggie tray mess looks like a clever idea for a new funky salad. (you are too creative)!!!!

I totally hear ya! I was bringing cupcakes fro my friends 30th birthday party and they were to make a cupcake 3 tiered cake and they spilled all over the floor of the car on the way over:( I cried, AND yelled. I was very dissapointed in myself for getting that mad, but it was one of those days. We have those days, me way to many of them!!But the most important thing is how we deal withthose days, and THAT is what I am working on!!
Oh, and you are doing awesome with your grocery budgeet and menus! They all sound delicious and your in budget, good job! :)
