Pinewood Derby Car

Our stake did a stake wide pinewood derby.  Tyler has only ever participated in one before, so I was happy he got to do one more.  Tj helped him cut his car, Brena helped him sand it, and Tyler designed and painted it.  Tyler doesn't really show any emotion, but I could kind of see some excitement about the derby!

Happy Birthday Bristol!

Bristol is 1!  She is walking (sort of), she eats everything, she loves waving and kissing good bye to her brother and sister when they leave in the mornings for school, she says tyty, mamma & dadda.  She has 10 teeth.  She weighs 21lbs 3oz (52%) and she is 31" (95%), although I know the measurement is wrong because the paper they marked her height on was all bunched up.  She is into everything, and I get basically nothing done all day.  She wants to be held all.the.time.  She cries if I put her down.  I know they grow up way too fast, so I do hold her as much as I can.  I'd do anything to go back and hold Tyler one more time, he's so big now that I can't, and I know that will be Bristol before I know it!  I'm so grateful she came to our home - I love this little girl to pieces and don't know how we lived so long without her!

Daddy Daughter Dance

Brena and Tj went to the daddy daughter dance last year and Brena loved it.  She has been so excited for this years dance to happen.  She talked about what she would wear for days.  She even had a fashion show for us so we could help her decide on a dress.  Of course she wouldn't let me touch her hair (nothing new there).  Every time I tell her that her hair looks terrible (is that bad??) she says "no one is going to judge me mom!"  HAHA!!  She cracks me up.

While they were gone, Tyler and I watched House Hunters.  We love that show.

Lazy Winter Days

I'm loving all this time hanging around the house staying warm and cozy while there's a million inches of snow outside!  We stay in our pajamas most the day, too.  It's great!

Valentine's Day

We didn't decorate any sugar cookies for Christmas last year, so the kids really wanted to do it for Valentine's Day.  Of course there was no school, so we baked, rolled and decorated all day.  Then we went and delivered plates of cookies.

Snow Much Fun!

The kids were out in the snow all day Thursday and Friday.  They just couldn't get enough.
The college kids across the street were out playing in the snow, and the kids had a blast throwing snow balls at the older kids and sledding down our street!

Tj finally got half of the driveway cleared!

Winter Storm Pax

Well, the weather forecasts were right!!  We got a TON of snow!!  It started snowing Wednesday afternoon and it didn't stop until Thursday morning.  I've never seen so much snow in my life - and I grew up in Colorado!

Bristol wasn't too impressed with the white stuff.
The older kids, now that's a different story - they LOVED it!
Needless to say, the town was shut down on Thursday!  School was cancelled too.

Toilet Paper Fun

Bristol is into EVERYTHING!  I swear we can't baby proof this house enough.  There is no more up high places to put anything - our house looks ridiculous with everything we own in piles up high on top of the entertainment center, piano, etc.  We've had to use things like the vacuum cleaner to block out places she likes to go behind, it's crazy!  I've told the kids a million times they HAVE to keep the bathroom door shut.  Well, they forgot...again.  Bristol had toilet paper strewn everywhere!

Running from the scene of the crime when I asked what she was doing...
 She's not too concerned!
Yep, she's pretty proud of herself!

This baby!!!!

Footie Jammies

We heard a big snow storm was coming.  We really haven't had all that much snow this year, so we hadn't bought any snow gear for the kids this year.  Why buy it if we won't even use it??  Well, the night before the storm we decided we better go find stuff for the kids.  We went to every store (which isn't that many in our neck of the woods) we could think of.  The only place that had anything was Wal-Mart and it was all on clearance.  I found the last pair of snow pants in the store I think.  They would do for Brena, but just this year.  I also got lucky and found snow boots for her.  I couldn't find a single thing for Tyler.  Poor guy.  There was nothing in the boys or men sections of all the stores.  But, we did find footie jammies and apparently they had both been dying for some.  So, we did get those.  These are my 3 "little" kids in footie jammies.

Super Bowl

We were very excited to watch the Super Bowl...until it all started going downhill...from the beginning practically!  The Broncos didn't do so well!

The jersey the whole family can wear :)
