Lazy Winter Days

I'm loving all this time hanging around the house staying warm and cozy while there's a million inches of snow outside!  We stay in our pajamas most the day, too.  It's great!

Snow Much Fun!

The kids were out in the snow all day Thursday and Friday.  They just couldn't get enough.
The college kids across the street were out playing in the snow, and the kids had a blast throwing snow balls at the older kids and sledding down our street!

Tj finally got half of the driveway cleared!

Winter Storm Pax

Well, the weather forecasts were right!!  We got a TON of snow!!  It started snowing Wednesday afternoon and it didn't stop until Thursday morning.  I've never seen so much snow in my life - and I grew up in Colorado!

Bristol wasn't too impressed with the white stuff.
The older kids, now that's a different story - they LOVED it!
Needless to say, the town was shut down on Thursday!  School was cancelled too.

Another Snow Day

And the kids are home again.  I don't think they will even get a summer vacation this year with all the school days they have to make up!  It's so cold I don't even want to go anywhere...well actually that's nothing new I'm such a homebody I don't normally want to leave my house.  But, even if I were the adventurous type, I wouldn't go out in this freezing weather!  The kids are content to stay home in their jammies, read books and play yahtzee.  Tyler has discovered yahtzee and we have been playing a ton!

And of course Brena has all her monster high dolls out!

Cold!

It has been freezing here!  I don't ever remember negative temperatures when I was a kid in Colorado, but I'm sure I'll never forget these negative temps we've had here lately.  I'm FREEZING!  Tyler was a good boy and shoveled the snow the other morning but he finished before I could get his picture taken.  He is such a huge help!  School has been cancelled for so long I don't even remember the last time the kids were in school!  A few mornings I would go out and start the car before leaving somewhere and I was afraid it wouldn't start it was so cold.  But, after a few seconds it turned on.  We have tons of icicles all over the place.  Tyler found this big one today.

Can't wait for summer!!!
