Happy Birthday Brenalee!

We had 2 celebrations for Brena.  One while grandma Franklin was here, and then one on Brena's actual birthday.  Grandma and the kids made cupcakes and then Brena got to open a couple of presents.

She got a pretty dress, leggings and doll clothes from grandpa & grandma Landes.

 She had been dying for her own camera forever, so she was very excited to get this from mom & dad!

 And grandma Franklin made her her very own apron and gave her some cash.

She said it was the best birthday ever!  Happy birthday to my favorite 9 year old!  I hope you are always this spunky, creative, happy, energetic, social and overall awesome!

Cake and Presents!

We finally got to celebrate Tyler's birthday.  He wanted an ice cream cake this year, so that's what he got.  He got a new Wii game, a baseball glove, and money.

Like Bristol's birthday a month ago, we didn't have time to celebrate Tyler's birthday on his actual birthday...Wednesdays are a really hard night!  I did manage to get some streamers put up!  School was cancelled for whatever reason, it didn't snow, so I'm not really sure why it was cancelled today.  The school district is so weird here.  He requested cinnamon rolls for breakfast, so I did make him some cinnamon rolls.  Tj came home early from work and they had a good time playing a new Wii game Tyler got for his birthday.  He also went to cub scouts for the last time and they had a little ward pinewood derby for the pack meeting.  I was told he won, but his trophy said 2nd place, so I'm not quite sure what happened there...

Cake! Presents!

We didn't have time on Wednesday to celebrate Bristol's birthday.  Finally, Saturday night we had a free night to celebrate!  We had cupcakes and presents.  She wasn't too sure about her cupcake at first, but then she got a taste and went to town!

Then it was time for some presents!  Since she is the 3rd child, we didn't really worry about this part!  But, the grandmas made sure she got a present!

Again, she didn't really know what to do with it!

Happy Birthday Bristol!

Bristol is 1!  She is walking (sort of), she eats everything, she loves waving and kissing good bye to her brother and sister when they leave in the mornings for school, she says tyty, mamma & dadda.  She has 10 teeth.  She weighs 21lbs 3oz (52%) and she is 31" (95%), although I know the measurement is wrong because the paper they marked her height on was all bunched up.  She is into everything, and I get basically nothing done all day.  She wants to be held all.the.time.  She cries if I put her down.  I know they grow up way too fast, so I do hold her as much as I can.  I'd do anything to go back and hold Tyler one more time, he's so big now that I can't, and I know that will be Bristol before I know it!  I'm so grateful she came to our home - I love this little girl to pieces and don't know how we lived so long without her!

Brena's 8th Birthday Party

Brenalee has never had a birthday party before - I let them have parties when they turn 5 & 8.  I HATE birthday parties.  We will do cake and presents at home for the kids and celebrate their birthdays, but I do NOT like parties - ugh!  For some reason we didn't end up having one for her when she turned 5, so it was time to give the girl a party!  She wanted to have her party at Paint N' Fun.  It's a place where you & your guests pick out a piece of pottery to paint.  It was fun and easy!

 The cake - she wanted a Monster High cake.  A lady from church made it for us. 

 Opening presents!  She was super excited about all her fun stuff.  She got lots of earrings, necklaces, doll clothes and more.

There was a few things Brena wanted for her birthday - one thing she has been begging for was a real pedicure.  She got her wish the morning of her birthday:

After Brena's baptism we went to my parent's house and had some food catered from a Hawaiian BBQ place - it was really good.  Then we watched Brena open her presents.  I love that she got to do this with all her cousins.  She's never had a real birthday party before - so this is the closest she gets when we are in CO and all her cousins come. 

 She wanted these high heels so bad - she was so funny when she opened them.  She can barely walk in them :)

 She also wanted these fashion glasses so bad, she didn't have enough money to buy them in the store and we almost had to drag her out of there crying - I guess someone told Grandma Franklin how bad she wanted them :)

What a fun night and what a special girl we got to celebrate!  I can't believe she's 8 already!

Cake!

We had family pictures taken while we were in Colorado.  We had the whole family together and we decided to eat cake for Brena's birthday after pictures.  We weren't sure what/how the baptism would go and didn't want to miss out on the birthday cake for the birthday cake for the birthday girl - so we had it early.  Looking back now we could have had cake after the baptism - oh well.

Tj's 35!

The unit went to The Cellar for lunch to celebrate Tj's birthday.  They go out to lunch for every birthday.  Happy birthday my love!  He wanted new golf shoes for his birthday.
