Halloween

It was a wet Halloween this year!  We took the kids over to the "University Mall" for some indoor trick-or-treating.  It's not really a mall, but that's what it's called.  The gym I work at is in this building and all Bristol wanted to do was go into the kid area she goes to every day.  She finally started getting the hang of putting out her hand and getting candy in it.  She thought that was pretty great.  I was surprised she kept her devil horns on!  We went and grabbed some dinner from Macadoo's and then went home.  It was so wet and cold we just stayed in and let Tyler and Brenalee go out by themselves.  They didn't stay out for long.  Due to the weather we didn't have near as many trick-or-treaters as we normally do.  I had way too much leftover candy.  I sent it to work with TJ!

Last Baseball Game

We went out to Dublin for the last baseball game.  I hadn't been to the last few because it was just too late to keep Bristol out.  But, I didn't want to miss this last one.  We dragged everyone out and Bristol was everywhere!  It was fun chasing her :)

Family Pictures

We went out on the Blue Ridge Parkway to get some family photos taken.  I had seen some photos of Mabry Mill and really wanted photos taken there since this is our last fall here.  It was about an hour drive and probably the most beautiful drive I've ever seen.  The trees - oh my word!  They were GORGEOUS!  I can't wait to get our photos back!  It was an adventure trying to get Bristol to cooperate though.  She thew her shoe in the water - our photographer's husband had to go fish it out!  It was soaked and she was barefoot the rest of the shoot.  She's such a hoot!

Family Pictures

I've always wanted to have some family pictures taken in the fall leaves here in VA.   I think we were just a week late in getting the very best from the leaves, but there was not really another time we had to be able to do pictures.  You can see some of the trees in the photos have already lost all their leaves.  Getting Bristol to cooperate was impossible!  I was a little frustrated with that child!  She threw her shoe in the water, so most of the pictures of her are without shoes.  We'll try again in a couple years!

Crop out Hunger

We took a walk on the Huckleberry Trail to help support the local Interfaith Food Pantry.  It was a nice day, we had been at Stake Conference all day and it was nice to get out!

At the end of the trail all this little monkey wanted to do was hang on the monkey bars!  She wouldn't let go!
